Mouse optogenetics tethered core system
Pinnacle’s turn-key mouse optogenetics system offers a straightforward solution for a wide range of optogenetic experimental models. The improved system seamlessly integrates optogenetic control with simultaneous biopotential, neurotransmitter and behavioral recordings to accommodate a number of experimental models and our improved optogenetic toolset allows more precise targeting of specific circuits and structures.
The 4-channel Mouse Optogenetics Tethered Core System is a configurable tethered setup. Users may select low-pass filters and gain settings. EEG, EMG and biosensor data are amplified and filtered at the head of the mouse by the preamplifier. Two biosensor inputs can be acquired on a single channel. Signals are then passed through the low-torque mouse commutator and swivel (8408) to the data conditioning and acquisition system (8401-HR) for final stage conditioning and filtering. Acquisition and review software is provided at no cost. Preamplifiers are sold in separate kits based on configuration.
Pinnacle offers complete mouse optogenetic hardware kits for new users. The key component of the Pinnacle system is a mouse optogenetics Interface Module which provides precise timing, illumination control and integration with the electrophysiological system. LED fiber probes are used to provide the stimulation and are compatible with standard stereotaxic cannula placement techniques and do not require an optical commutator.
The kit includes the following (all quantities are one unless otherwise noted):
8401-HR: Data Conditioning and Acquisition System
8413-M: 12″ 15-Pin Cable (2)
8417-AD: Adapters for 8417-PS
